What are meridians?
Meridians are the physical & energetic pathways, or channels, which flow throughout and surround the body. Our energy flows along these meridians, and anything that disrupts the smooth flow of energy such as an injury, tight muscles, illness or stress and negativity can affect our health.
What is Energy Therapy (Reiki)?
Energy Therapy is a holistic approach to wellness that uses gentle touch or near touch to activate the natural healing processes of the recipient's body to help restore physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Similar to recharging a battery... the body battery.
The body and mind are not separate from eachother and they are constantly in dialogue.. the body follows the mind.
This work "breaks up", disperses, clears and assists in releasing ones patterns of held physical (sometimes known as muscular tension) and mental stresses (worry, fear, frustration, anger, resentment, guilt, anxiousness or feellings of being overwhelmed) which over time can be held in the body and in the energy field (sometimes known as the Aura) can bring about the physical symptoms of pain, tightness or soreness and if held long enough, become illness.
Once our meridians are flowing well, energy flows unimpeded throughout the body, physically and emotionally we can experience new vitality and a sence of peace and calm.
